The Architect is On Duty

First, I want to apologize for not updating the Look of The Week in a while. You know how Looklet is going now and i understand that we can't create any new look until next month... It gets me crazy, too (but i suggest you play in polyvore which its fun is just as much as looklet; find me at reenz).

Besides, i'm in an architectural project now, a small house which needs lots attention. It may takes a month and my new villa project will come. Just wish that everything will run good so i can manage this blog like it used to be...

Heyya dear, after a month of "rest" from blogging, now i'm back with my Online Shop named NANINA. It was launched on facebook about 2 years ago with Kalungshop Nenggeulis name. I sold my hand-made accessories and 2nd outfits there.

Over a year, it transformed to OLS Naya Cikiirshita with a new concept of management. Then it didn't went well, until i changed the name again here and now (it's not updated yet in facebook, LOL). I renew the designs (and also the price ^^).

WOW!

Been a month (or more?) since my last post. Well, i'm thinking about reconcept this blog but what it will about is still being the big question. Maybe i can start it by selling my hand-made accessories here. So you may see my creation that is still inspired by some of the LOOKLET things.

My Daily Life

We can't always get what we want because sometimes what we get is what we need. And I am now is in "grey situation". I want this job so much since i was still in high school, but the fee is really not "suit and comfortable" in my age now (24).

I am now in design field, work 8 hours (+1 rest hour, means 9 hours) a day from monday to saturday with about $100 a month. Compared with my ex-job, my fee now is only a half part of it. But when i remember my days in my ex-job, EACH DAYS OF A YEAR IS A DAY OF ITCHES ON MY SKIN (kind of psychosomatic because i never wanted to work there). Well, i call it now dualism of life. It looks very well when we look at it as a whole, but then being so crap when we look at it as pieces of needs.

In the mid of 2005, I started my first step in architecture. I graduated at the architecture department, University of Indonesia.

Six years ago, i chose my way of life without knowing what architecture is all about. I didn't know how sucks it would be, not realized that it would take almost of my "me time", and not even asked to two of my aunts, one of my uncle, and two of my cousins (they're architects) about what people do in architecture or how they survive. One thing I knew for sure: I LOVE DESIGN.

Now, almost six years passed and I'm very berry super mega ultra proud to say that I CAN SURVIVE! Although, finally i can say it too: I NEVER WANT TO BE AN ARCHITECT (but for my own home). LOL!


Nevertheless, architecture has taught me many things about design: scale, proportion, composition, texture, color, how to present my design, and many more. Architecture knowledge (other field, too) is costly but it makes me "rich" in the end... ♥♥♥
